From humble beginnings recording in homemade booths in closets, kitchens, and bathrooms, TSE's career has been a mission of independent production. "Oranur Effect," TSE's first album as a member of Distorted Megabytes was independently released by DM in 2002. Receiving acclaim in the US and Japan, "Oranur Effect" was known for its abstract lyrics and hard hitting beats. Over the next few years Distorted Megabytes partnered with fellow Cambridge crew The Official to do a weekly show and produce two compilations - "Official Distortion" and "Roll Up Fucka." TSE quickly found his niche as an independent artist, writing, recording, producing, and mixing much of his own music. A strong believer in independent production, TSE joined with Miami MC PFM in 2005 and together with Kems, another Miami musician, began Hoverock Records, a label created to release work by independent artists, with the mission "To Destroy and Rebuild Rap." After the label's first release, "Kite Crucifix: Beyond" TSE stepped back from the business and is now working on a solo album that will be released sometime in the near future. Stay tuned.
