In the late 90’s/early 2000’s Iron Ora worked solely with one other MC and producer, Orion Pax, forming the group Boondock Saints (BDS). With plenty of unreleased tracks in the vaults as well as various joints on mix tapes and compilations such as Kite Crucifix Beyond they were at a point where they were ready to release a full-length project of their own. However, after several larval years of compiling tracks and developing their skills the two parted ways to work on solo endeavors. Since about 2007 Iron Ora has been hiding in the lab working on different projects and building a library of beats getting ready to take listeners on a trip through his mind. Without a doubt the goal has always been to provide a landscape where the listener becomes comfortable enough to actually let the entire record play, enough visualization through his layers of sounds to give you exactly what you need. Let the instrumentals play and you’ll retreat to a cool out spot that always played your favorite joints. Let the tracks play and realize that MC’s are still here- providing the essentials and new ingredients for the kids to feed off of. A fan of sports, fine Thai food, tasty greenery and Latin women, Iron Ora is not only a man about town but he’s also not very appealing.
